Harmar Highlander II
The Harmar Highlander II is a vertical platform lift built for everyday commercial (and residential) access—porches, decks, garage entries, and elevation changes where a ramp just won’t fit. You stay in your wheelchair, scooter, or powerchair and ride between levels. Rise options run from about 4 feet up to 14 feet, with a 750 lb capacity, so it handles real traffic in churches, schools, storefronts, and similar spaces. Harmar redesigned this series to be simpler to use and easier to service when something needs attention.

- Guardian System’s four LED lights show lift status at a glance. Outdoor-ready powder coat and stainless hardware for indoor or outdoor installs.
- Safety pan under the platform, emergency stop, and door/gate interlocks come standard. Optional ReadyUPS battery backup provides at least five full up-and-down cycles during a power outage.

What is the Harmar Highlander II used for?
It’s a vertical platform lift for moving between two levels when a ramp takes too much space or the rise is too tall. People stay in their wheelchair or scooter. We install these a lot in commercial settings—restaurants, offices, churches, schools—and they work just as well for porch and deck access at home.
How much weight can it hold, and how high does it go?
Capacity is 750 lb. Travel heights range from about 4' up to 14', depending on the model (VPL400 through VPL1400). We’ll measure your rise on-site and recommend the right height and platform size.
What happens if the power goes out?
With the optional ReadyUPS battery backup, the lift still runs for a minimum of five complete up-and-down cycles after an outage. If backup power matters for your location, we usually recommend adding it when we quote the job.
