Next Day Access is continuing to expand with its fourth location opening in 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. Dominic D’Arpino, along with Next Day Access veterans April Springer, Chris Bakalars, and Carl Loge, are looking forward to serving the southern Arizona community beginning abril 1.

Dominic is no stranger to the accessibility world; he has been in the medical device industry for nearly 23 years, and 7 of those specifically in Accessibility/Safe Patient Handling. After working for manufacturers who provide products to Next Day Access, Dominic’s interest in Next Day Access piqued. He found he was just as passionate about providing solutions to clients as the teams he worked with, and as the work continued, Dominic saw an opportunity to make a strong impact. “I am really excited about being more involved as a local provider that can have a direct impact on the community I live in,” says Dominic.

Of all the companies that he worked with, he found that his experience with Next Day Access stood out for all the right reasons. “The entire network has always been first class,” Dominic says, “and my business partners that operate Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City are prime examples of this!” It was a no-brainer: Dominic aligned with the Next Day Access core values, so it was time to get to work on a new franchise location!

Next Day Access is extending their reach to a new franchise location in north Indianapolis, Indiana. Garrett Brown, a Purdue graduate, explains how he became interested in the franchising world.

After obtaining a mechanical engineering degree, Garrett began working in manufacturing while keeping his dream of becoming a business owner in mind. As his desire to get more involved in his community grew, he was searching for more ways to get involved. When his wife showed him a podcast that empowers future business owners, it encouraged him to action. Garrett began researching various franchising opportunities, where he found that the Next Day Access core values aligned with his own. “Next Day Access stood out and checked all the right boxes.” From that moment, he knew it would not only be an easy decision, but the right one.

Garrett recognizes that as the North Indy population continues to expand, more people will require accessibility solutions. Garrett says, “I want to bring these solutions with an outstanding team delivering the best experience. I believe out world needs a positive movement in our culture, and I believe we can make that happen.”

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO, UNITED STATES, enero 29, 2024 – The Colorado Springs Franchise of Next Day Access partnered with Food to Power to create both a temporary and a permanent solution to enhance accessibility.

The Mission of Food to Power

Food to Power, formerly known as Colorado Springs Food Rescue, focuses on not only reducing food waste, but also cultivating a “healthy, equitable food system.” Their mission goes beyond what most food banks do; they provide their community with resources to begin producing their own food. When their team invested in Hillside Hub, a whopping 3.5-acre hub of urban farming, fresh grocery distribution, and more, they quickly saw that food inequality was not the only need to be met.

Finding A Solution

As members of their community began showing up, they realized that a wheelchair ramp was crucial to their mission. “After making several phone calls, we very quickly came to the realization that, okay, Next Day Access will work,” said Slade Custer, Development Director of Food to Power. Within the short time frame, Next Day Access Colorado Springs created a makeshift ramp using rubber mats, allowing more members of the community access to the resources they offer. Slade continued, saying, “That was the kickoff of the partnership.”

Not only was that the kickoff of the partnership, but also the relationship between Next Day Access and Food to Power. Our technicians used their knowledge and passion about finding the right solution to educate Food to Power on the intricacies of creating a wheelchair ramp. Custer recalled learning about the inches to feet ratio, expressing how he appreciated the finer details of accessibility.

“Based off how good of an experience it was working with you [Next Day Access Colorado Springs] all the first time, it kind of opened the door for future conversations for a wheelchair ramp, and to say the least, it was an incredible experience.”

Since the Hillside Hub was built on land that was previously excavated, their wheelchair ramp required additional planning to ensure its success. “Despite it not being a copy and paste wheelchair ramp going in, you all were still very eager to work with us,” said Custer. Not only did we build a ramp, but we also built a relationship based on loyalty and understanding. “I think there’s a certain sense about Next Day Access where the personability and the customer service really played a big role…The entire time working with you all was very relational.”

Ross’s dedication to his career becomes evident when he tackles challenging situations. He has made a significant impact by resolving issues that have plagued customers for a long time. In one case, a customer had been struggling for eight months with a malfunctioning Helix chassis that prevented her from accessing her upstairs. Ross identified a wiring harness fault as the root of the problem.

While on-site, he took immediate action, ordering the necessary parts from tech support and ensuring overnight delivery. He didn’t stop there; Ross proactively scheduled a follow-up visit within 48 hours to install the parts and get the system working as it should. This proactive and efficient approach was a stark contrast to the frustration the customer had faced for months while dealing with the installation company. Ross’s actions not only resolved the issue but also left the customer relieved and grateful for the swift resolution.

Responsive and Passionate

In addition to Ross’s technical prowess, his responsiveness and passion for supporting the Next Day Access brand have made him a valuable asset to the North Houston location. In July, he responded to two VA service calls regarding non-functioning Highlander VPLs, both of which had been out of order for over seven weeks. Within just 24 hours of the first call, Ross had not only identified the problems but also ordered the necessary parts, all under warranty.

His swift actions not only restored these vital mobility solutions to working order but also exemplified the high level of customer service that Next Day Access prides itself on. Ross’s dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction are a testament to the company’s values and its mission to improve the quality of life for its clients.

The Next Day Access Birmingham franchise, a provider of residential and commercial accessibility and mobility solutions, is owned by Amy and Scott Riley.

“We’re excited to open for business, so we can help the community by bringing the best accessibility solutions to those in need,” said Amy, President of Next Day Access Birmingham. “We chose Next Day Access for a few reasons: they have the solutions to help people age in place, the business model, and expertise to ensure success in the business.”

Amy began her career working at a Senior Center and then moved into residential care for both Assisted Living Facilities and Independent Living Communities as an Activities Director. She also worked previously as a realtor for Keller Williams Vestavia. She is a wife and mother of two and has always had a passion for helping seniors and the community at large.

This month, we’d like to highlight the journey of Matthew Boncada, Next Day Access San Antonio’s very own. 

Matthew joined the Next Day Access San Antonio team in septiembre 2022, ready to assist the existing technician and embark on a new adventure in San Antonio. He packed up his belongings, his dog Harley and drove solo from Salt Lake City to San Antonio. Little did he know that his adventure would take an unexpected turn on his very first day. As fate would have it, the existing technician left the company abruptly, leaving Matthew as their newest and sole technician.

What followed was an astonishing 11-month transformation that showcased Matthew’s dedication and resilience. He not only learned a myriad of skills but also gained profound product knowledge across their entire range. Matthew’s relentless pursuit of knowledge and improvement turned him into not just a technician but also a leader.

Today, Matthew leads a team of three employees, passing on his wealth of knowledge and skills to them on a daily basis. His rapid ascent from a solo technician to a team leader is a testament to his hard work and commitment. We applaud Matthew for the tremendous effort he has put into reaching the level he’s at now.

Her professional experience includes computer manufacturing, accounting, and light construction.

A story that stands out as a true testament to Matthew’s dedication is when he responded to a customer’s call about a continuously beeping stair lift late in the evening. The customer was at their wit’s end, unable to bear the noise. Matthew raced to their aid, only to discover that the issue was caused by a constantly beeping smoke detector due to low batteries. Without hesitation, he changed the batteries in the smoke detector, putting an end to the beeping and ensuring the customer’s peace of mind.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Matthew as a part of the Next Day Access brand. His commitment to the business, customers, and mission is unwavering. He is a true example of excellence, and his ability to handle the chaos that sometimes accompanies our line of work is commendable.
