Can the PT rail be installed outside?
Yes. We only recommend the the stainless steel finish version for outdoor applications. It is built for full wet applications such as wet rooms, showers and humidity. Note: the white finish is carbon steel.
Does the whole plate have to secure to the studs? Or is drilling 2 bolts into the stud sufficient?
No. All 4 mounting points of the PT Rail must secure to structural wood. The (supplied) lag bolts must be installed into structural wood framing. If the wall is concrete, appropriate wall anchors and bolts are required (not included).
What is the weight capacity of the PT rail?
