Next Day Access is expanding to three Florida locations with northeast Florida joining the mix. Drew and CathyJolly are the owners of this new location, serving Jacksonville, Gainesville, Daytona Beach, and surrounding areas.
After getting out of the US Coast Guard, Cathy and Drew met and fell in love, getting married in 1997. The first seventeen years of their marriage, they lived in the Tallahassee area while raising their family but moved to Jacksonville, FL for Drew’s career in Information Technology. Five years later, the Jolly family wound up in a difficult situation.
“In 2019,” Drew recounts, “my father was diagnosed with leukemia and his health quickly turned for the worse.” The Jolly’s were able to move his father in, where they were blessed to have him spend the last year together. “We had no idea what to do or expect; we had never prepared for anything like this,” Drew says. A military man himself, he got connected with the Jacksonville VA, which he calls a godsend for how they aided him in organizing treatment for his father. One thing the Jolly’s noticed during this experience is that there are many unfortunate decisions that all care givers must make, and the VA helped them navigate those decisions with minimal stress.
With their new perspective on life, they decided that now is the time to make a positive impact on the world, and they believe Next Day Access will help them make their dream a reality. “We will provide accessibility solutions to help our neighbors stay in their homes as long as possible, which will improve their quality of life,” Drew states. “I have a passion for helping people.” The Jolly’s are looking forward to helping their northeast Florida neighbors for many years to come.

The Mission of Food to Power
Food to Power, formerly known as Colorado Springs Food Rescue, focuses on not only reducing food waste, but also cultivating a “healthy, equitable food system.” Their mission goes beyond what most food banks do; they provide their community with resources to begin producing their own food. When their team invested in Hillside Hub, a whopping 3.5-acre hub of urban farming, fresh grocery distribution, and more, they quickly saw that food inequality was not the only need to be met.
Finding A Solution
As members of their community began showing up, they realized that a wheelchair ramp was crucial to their mission. “After making several phone calls, we very quickly came to the realization that, okay, Next Day Access will work,” said Slade Custer, Development Director of Food to Power. Within the short time frame, Next Day Access Colorado Springs created a makeshift ramp using rubber mats, allowing more members of the community access to the resources they offer. Slade continued, saying, “That was the kickoff of the partnership.”
Not only was that the kickoff of the partnership, but also the relationship between Next Day Access and Food to Power. Our technicians used their knowledge and passion about finding the right solution to educate Food to Power on the intricacies of creating a wheelchair ramp. Custer recalled learning about the inches to feet ratio, expressing how he appreciated the finer details of accessibility.

Next Day Access Expands to Alabama: New Location in Birmingham is Now Open
October 17, 2023: Next Day Access is pleased to announce its new location in Birmingham, Alabama. This is the first franchise location in the state of Alabama. The Next Day Access Birmingham franchise, a provider of residential and commercial accessibility and mobility solutions, is owned by Amy and Scott Riley.
“We’re excited to open for business, so we can help the community by bringing the best accessibility solutions to those in need,” said Amy, President of Next Day Access Birmingham. “We chose Next Day Access for a few reasons: they have the solutions to help people age in place, the business model, and expertise to ensure success in the business.”
Amy began her career working at a Senior Center and then moved into residential care for both Assisted Living Facilities and Independent Living Communities as an Activities Director. She also worked previously as a realtor for Keller Williams Vestavia. She is a wife and mother of two and has always had a passion for helping seniors and the community at large.
Next Day Access Birmingham will focus on providing accessibility and mobility solutions to individuals of all ages across the Greater Birmingham metro area and surrounding areas. Matthew joined the Next Day Access San Antonio team in September 2022, ready to assist the existing technician and embark on a new adventure in San Antonio. He packed up his belongings, his dog Harley and drove solo from Salt Lake City to San Antonio. Little did he know that his adventure would take an unexpected turn on his very first day. As fate would have it, the existing technician left the company abruptly, leaving Matthew as their newest and sole technician.
What followed was an astonishing 11-month transformation that showcased Matthew’s dedication and resilience. He not only learned a myriad of skills but also gained profound product knowledge across their entire range. Matthew’s relentless pursuit of knowledge and improvement turned him into not just a technician but also a leader.
Today, Matthew leads a team of three employees, passing on his wealth of knowledge and skills to them on a daily basis. His rapid ascent from a solo technician to a team leader is a testament to his hard work and commitment. We applaud Matthew for the tremendous effort he has put into reaching the level he’s at now.
